Update 25 November 2021 to all NOS-HS and NOP-HS grant holders and their administrations: Important information regarding your funding decision (PDF)
NOS-HS Secretariat transfers permanently to NordForsk starting 1 January 2022.
NOS-HS Secretariat has rotated between Research Councils in the Nordic countries every four years. Since 2019, the Secretariat has been hosted by Academy of Finland.
As of 1 January 2022, all administrative matters regarding workshop projects and journal grants and new calls for funding will be handled by the NOS-HS Secretariat at NordForsk.
To secure smooth transition, the current NOS-HS secretariat urges all ongoing projects to take care of administrative matters before 30 June 2021. All pending invoicing, reporting, extension requests and other requests must be submitted by 30 June 2021. Last NOP-HS call is open 1–22 September 2021
NOP-HS journal grant funding will cease in this form. The Journal grant 2021 is targeted towards those journals that have NOP-HS funding for 2021.
In the future NOS-HS will look for alternative forms of promoting Nordic open access publishing in the fields of humanities and social sciences. NOP-HS has commissioned a mapping of operational landscape of Nordic journals in the field of humanities and social sciences. The report will be published on the NOS-HS website in late June.
